Pink Daffodils … why not?

What colors do Daffodils come in?

Pink-Daffadils

From what I have seen (and Googled) … Daffodils are usually all yellow or white with a yellow or orange center. Some fancy ones are a creamy white with a peachy, pink center. But beyond that Daffodils seem to be very content with their narrow color palette. Good thing I am not a Daffodil, I think I would eventually get bored of yellow.

Don’t get me wrong, the color Yellow is joyful and happy … definitely a “sunny” color, but today I decided to throw caution to the wind a challenge Mother Nature (in a good way – lol!) and make my daffodils a happy & peppy … pink! I think they look happy being a new color.

Stamps used to create this card: Multi-Step Spring Daffodils Clear Stamps, Multi-Step Brush Strokes Clear Stamps, and Make a Big Statement Clear Stamps.

If you have ever seen Daffodils in a different color than what I mentioned above… please, share it with me, I would love to know. 🙂

And speaking of “peppy pink”, here is a blast from the past with some happy, pink pansies!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous & inky day!

A bouquet of bookmarks

Image

So, I went a little bookmark crazy! Today I have three of them and each stamped with a different flower. I used the stamp sets: 3 Step Daisy, 3 Step Hearts & Roses, and Multi-Step Giant Sunflowers. Don’t they make a lovely bouquet when all together?

Daisy-Rose-Sunflower-Bookmarks

I used vellum to create a center rectangle in the center of the rose bookmark so the type would read better over the roses.

Thanks for stopping by and have an inky day!

Please check out the beautiful card from Lynn McAuley.

Ducky Holiday from Kitchen Sink Stamps

Card #1 uses the 2 of the new sets, Multi-Step Rubber Ducky and Multi-Step Things 4 Ducky & Teddy for a fun Christmas card. Multi-Step Ducky was inspired by KSS Forum Member, SuperJen. She was the winner of last June’s forum Giveaway Game and her stamp suggestion was a Rubber Ducky set. I am so glad she did because I have been having so much fun stamping him (or her). 😉

Hope you’re not getting tired of bears? I am putting my bear army to good use. 😉

While I was searching around on the web (for a subject not related- typical!), I stumbled upon this fabulous blog dedicated to desktop crafting called, Clever Someday ( a really cute story about the name of her blog) by Kay Hall.  She created “09 KutUps”, a dingbat font for electric die cutters (SCAL, MTC, Silhouette Studio + any other cutting software that can cut TrueType fonts) that is absolutely awesome! PLUS… it is FREE!  (She only asks to consider “paying it forward” with a donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.)

My card today uses two of the dingbats (with a little tweaking) from – 09 KutUps: flag banner and stitched pocket. The stitched pocket is backed with red cardstock so the blue pocket looks like it has red stitches (hard to see due to the angle of the photo). These are only 2 digital images out of the 90+ shapes that are included in this dingbat font.  I know I will be using this font a lot (my nestablilities are starting to look nervous!). If you haven’t already discovered this digital download for die cutting, you will want to check it out.

Cheery Cherries!

Happy KSS Monday!

One of the things I love about summer is all the fresh fruit available … peaches, raspberries, plums … and cherries are at the top of my list. I’m thinking what type of fruit should be the next KSS multi-step stamp set. So, please tell me … what is your favorite fruit?
