… it’s KSS Monday!
(sort of … in my house it is) 😉
For my family, the chaotic first week back to school is now behind us. I survived! 😉 Today, I am trying to catch up on last Friday’s color recipe + a little surprise … HA! – only the surprise was on me!
Bluebonnets are wildflowers
and a sweet pint size version to their bigger cousin, the Lupin.
My surprise is to share a bouquet of Lupins using the mini set,
While writing this post, I was shocked to discover that I have never posted a card or project using Multi Step Bluebonnets … NOTHING, NADA, NOT EVER!
How can this be??? This set was created in 2010 for a KSS Workshop held in Texas (Texas’ state flower is the Bluebonnet). After the workshop, I showed a stamped sample of Bluebonnets with Multi Step Cowboy Boots, but that was it!!! Poor sweet Bluebonnets! 😦
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!
Don’t forget to check out what the KS Crew has cooked up for you yesterday!

One of the things I love about summer is all the fresh fruit available … peaches, raspberries, plums … and cherries are at the top of my list. I’m thinking what type of fruit should be the next KSS multi-step stamp set. So, please tell me … what is your favorite fruit?
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful (and inky) week!

I have a quick masking tip/trick for you today.
When you are not up for cutting out lots of masks from masking paper (especially small ones)… try using clear embossing powder instead.
Quick Masking with Embossing Powder/Resist Technique.
added note: (dye inks yield the best results – pigment inks can still leave a stain of color)
Photo (A) – Two flowers stamped & dry. Next, embossed with fine detail clear EP (using step #1 stamp for full coverage and VersaMark). Tip: It is also a good time to do any embellishing with glitter pens before embossing.
Photo (B) – The red arrows show pink ink on top of the previously embossed flowers (the yellow and orange flowers) and the clear emboss acts as a mask for the pink flower.
Photo (C) – Before embossing the pink flower (same as done in photo A), clean unwanted ink off with Q-Tip. Tip: wipe the ink off towards the image you just stamped.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you have a Happy (and inky) week!
