Heartfelt Sympathy

Today I have two sympathy cards to share. The first card I used Multi-Step Lilies and Words of Comfort & Joy on the inside. The second card uses 3 Step Bitty Tulip Bouquet and the sentiment is from 3 Step Daisy.

A New KS Crew Challenge is in the kitchen

It is a new month … which means a new KS Crew Challenge – #22, with our hostess, Makiko!

This month, Makiko challenges us to use our Kitchen Sink Stamps to create our own custom designer paper. I must admit, I think one of my favorite things to do when stamping, is to make my own designer paper! The sky is the limit! So for this challenge, I wanted to try and simulate a soft, elegant and monochromatic designer paper from K&Company (sample below)…. and see if I could create something close to it, but Kitchen Sink Stamps style. I am happy how it turned out. I added a clear embossing powder over the large butter fly to make it pop a bit form the background of flowers and leaves. As for the hardware,  I had silver which wasn’t really working so, I took a marcasite embossing powder and changed it.

All the images (excepted mentioned below) are stamped using: Step #3 – Imperial Purple – VersaFine, Step #2 – Sweet Plum – Memento, Step #1 – Lulu Lavender.

For the Lilies: Step #5 – Imperial Purple – VersaFine, Step #4 – Sweet Plum – Memento, Step #3 – Sweet Plum stamp off – Memento, Step #2 – Lulu Lavender –  Memento, Step #1 – Angel Pink.

Smaller Butterflies: Step #3 – Imperial Purple – VersaFine, Step #2 – Sweet Plum – Memento, Step #1 – Sky Blue.

Thanks for stopping by today!

…and don’t forget to check out what the KS Crew has cooked up for you too! 🙂

Another KS Monday … with new stamps coming tomorrow!

Step into another “Happy Monday” in the Kitchen!

BUT… first, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout to KS Crew Member – TAMMY, who celebrated her big day yesterday with an “almost perfect” Birthday! 😉

My KS Monday’s card is from the sneak peek #1 using the new set – Multi Step Lilies.

Multi Step … you may ask?

Yes, the 3 Step™ stamps have blossomed into Multi Step™!tiger-lily

Over a year and 1/2 ago, when the Kitchen opens its doors to the stamping community, I never would have dreamed of designing a 4 step stamp … let alone a 5! Yet, as KSS’s stamp line continues to grow … more steps seem to stay. BUT don’t worry, Multi-Step stamping is still just as easy as 1, 2, 3! … just more step stamping fun! 😀

And speaking of more step stamping fun…. you will find MORE KSS inspiration from the talented KS CREW!
