Truck load of news from Kitchen Sink

Happy KSS Monday!

It may have seemed very quite over here at KSS … which means …

NEW STAMPS are coming!

Yes, 5 new stamp sets will be available  Mid October! I can hardly wait to share more details which will be very soon.

Another thing that has kept me busy, I finally broke down and purchased a Silhouette cutting machine. I have to say – I wish I had done it SOONER!  Cutting masks directly out of masking paper or card stock cut-outs for stamped images can be done in a flash!  Plus, much more accurate than when I would try cutting out by hand! (got to love that!)

Now, I am not pushing or enabling anyone to go out and purchase this machine – I have no tries with Silhouette.  BUT, if you have one already, I am thrilled to be able to now offer our KSS customers a

FREE BonusKSS die cut files for our Multi Step stamp sets.

[Update: I have had to put a small price for digital die cut files, but if you have purchased the coordinating stamps, the die cut files will still be free. Find out all the info HERE.]

I am still figuring out all the details regarding files (.svg  -vs  .dxf).  I understand that the standard Free software that comes with the Silhouette (Portrait or Cameo), can’t open .studio files or .svg files without having to convert them to .dxf files. So until I figure out an easier way to upload options that both standard and DE software users can download…. for now, email me directly at kitchensinkstamps@gmail.com. If you have some other type of computer/software cutting machine that supports .svg files, please let me know. I would love to test out a file with you and see if it will work for your machine too.

Let me know what version of Silhouette software you are using and the stamp set name for die-cut files wanted. I will email you the files directly.

Here is a sliding gift card holder I created using my Silhouette and one of their many, many awesome templates. The really exciting part for me was to die cut the truck and present so they could pop off the front. Also being able to add a die cut layer under the banner (blue) and not having to cut it by hand was totally cool!

A New KSCC and lots of fun News from the Kitchen!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!

Yes, I have a lot of exciting news I would like to share with you today!!!!

First: It is a new month, which means a new Kitchen Sink Stamps’ Crew Challenge – KSCC#30. This month’s Hostess is Angela. She has a super fun challenge that I have been really excited about ever since I heard her idea! Her challenge is called … “Just in Case”. She is challenging us to pick one of our favorite KS Crew member’s card (that in itself is a HUGE challenge) and CASE away. How fun IS THAT?!! And why am I so excited about this challenge??? Here is my chance and excuse to copy one of the gorgeous cards from the crew … and not be accused as a copy-cat – LOL!!! 🙂  You can find all the details to Angela’s challenge HERE.

So the first challenge was to pick a card from the crew to case … not an easy task indeed … I could easily spend a year casing one of their cards every day!

I finally decided to case this C&S spring card by Makiko and give turn it into a holiday card. This was a supper fun challenge and I hope you play along with us over on the KS Blog [HERE], as for this will be the last KSCrew Challenge played over on the KSS Blog.

On to more News….

Second: It has been long in coming, but KSS is going to have their every own Forum and public gallery! YaHooo!!!! One place to ask questions, find information and inspiration, share your own KSS creations and chit chat with us in the Kitchen…. and a whole lot more! 🙂

When you might ask?  More News ….

Thrid: I am personally inviting you all to join myself and the KS Crew to the Grand Opening of the KSS Forum/Gallery this New Year’s Eve!

When: Dec. 31st

Time: Noon to midnight EST

Location: will be announced HERE on the 31st.

I hope you will join us for the count down to the New Year in our New Forum …. there will be loads of Challenges, Games, Prizes, & Give-Aways …. oh, and a new stamp release …. available first only to those in attendance in our forum at the stroke of Midnight (east coast time)! 🙂  Should be loads of FUN and I am SUPER EXCITED!!!!!

And speaking of New Stamps … A new set is blowing its way into the Kitchen on Dec. 13th. A sneak peek to due to appear later in the week, so keep you eyes peeled, I don’t think you are going to miss spotting this peak. 😉

I told you it was a lot of news … but I guess that is enough Big News for one day. 😉  Happy Stamping!

Remember to check out what which KS Crew member cased who. 🙂

Seeing squares this Monday!

Where did March go????

Then again, forget that I asked…. I am just SOOOO GLAD Spring is HERE!!!!

First,  I want to thank Tammy for joining us as a Guest Designer this past month … it felt like old times to have her back on Kitchen detail!!! 🙂 It is always a pleasure working with you Tammy! Hope you’ll visit again real soon!

Next, a new month in the Kitchen also means a new KSCrew Challenge! This month, Angela is our hostess with KS Crew Challenge – #24.

Angela’s challenge: It’s Hip to be SquareCreate a card or project that’s SQUARE. The more squares the better!!!

I took Angela’s challenge to heart… a square card with square gift boxes (from Multi Step Gift) inside contrasting squares… and I used the sentiment from Happy Birthday Cupcake…. because the type face is kind of boxy looking.

Thanks Angela for the fun 4 sided challenge…  it is bound to get us thinking outside of the box!

Check out what the rest of the KS Crew has cooked up for you too!

IF you missed Black Friday… Cyber Monday is in the Kitchen!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!

I hope everyone had a Happy & Safe Thanksgiving … and isn’t too sleepy from all the turkey to stamp! – LOL!

I’m thrilled with how this card turned out. The adhesive pearl strips and red balls made it a snap to decorate this multi step pine tree … if only my own Christmas tree was that easy to decorate! This card would be easy-peasy to mass-produced!

A gift with a little glitz!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Autumn weekend.

Just-for-YouI am taking a tiny break from the fast approaching Holidays with a Birthday Card. I did have fun playing with this cool Laser Luster paper from Paper Temptress… and from what I understand, it works really well in a printer too. I haven’t tried that yet… I just think it is so beautiful all on its own and makes the perfect background for this little present with its glittery ribbon. The glittery ribbon was created after stamping the box and ribbon. Then using step #1 of the ribbon again, I stamped using VersaMark and embossing with Kaleidoscope EP from Stampendous. It added just a touch of glitz to the ribbon. 🙂

See what the rest of the Kitchen Sink Crew has also cooked up for today.
