I do believe you are going to recognize these lovely and very talented ladies: Lisa Somerville, Connie McCotter and Makiko Jones! I am a huge fan of their work and am thrilled that they will be sharing their beautiful creations along with the rest of the talented KS Crew! Please join me in welcoming Connie, Lisa and Mikiko to the Kitchen! 😀

Now for another little surprise, I am sure you have seen the adorable crocheted flowers that are being sold for scrapbooking and card making… (thank goodness because I can barely tie a knot, let alone crochet :D). Well, I have been keeping another little secret …*giggle* … my talented sister in-law crotcheted these fabulous daffodil flowers on today’s card! I just love them! daffodills-cardThey are just too cute! When I saw them, I knew exactly what I was going to do with them and stamped 3 separate stalks using the small tulip stalks from Multi Step™ Tulip Garden. Then I glued on the flowers. I am bugging her to make more… to sell them …what do you think? Should she sell them?

Please don’t forget to stop by and visit the rest of the KS Crew, including our newest Crew members, and see what they have created to inspire you.

Well wishes and a big Hug!

Some sad news I must share.
Kitchen Sink Design Crew Member, Rebecca Oehlers is leaving the kitchen … her very busy schedule is just making it too difficult to stay in the Kitchen.
I will miss Rebecca’s vivacious energy and bold, retro, “thinking out of the box” graphic style!
She is leaving with well wishes and a big huge hug from me and the rest of the Kitchen Crew.

We’ll miss you Becky!

Meeting up with a friend and a challenge for myself!

Guess who I got to see yesterday? …. Nicole!

Yes! She and her mom (both lovely ladies) are in CA this weekend and I got a chance to steal away and meet them for dinner! I had a wonderful time talking about so many things… and of coarse stamping too! 😀

So, I have given myself a new challenge… I figure, if I can follow SCS color and/or sketch challenge every week until Dec. 1st and I make 2 cards each, I should have enough cards to send out for Christmas! Heaven forbid I get organized and actually send cards this year! LOL! 😀 Let’s see if I can do it! … Two down … 10,000 to go! LOL!

OK – so here is my second card. It is a 2 for 1… this week’s color (CC172) and sketch (SC182) challenge together! I sure had fun! 😀

The bkgd squares I ebossed Winter Wonderland on Wasabi Green and Taken with Teal. Then I stamped the same colors on white. I add highlights on the snowflakes in the letters using Sakura Gelly Roll pens… Sky Star on Taken with Teal and Clear Star on Wasabi Green.

Materials:

Stamps: Snow Flurry from Kitchen Sink Stamps
Paper: Wasabi Green, Taken with Teal and Basic Black (SU!) Basic White (Papertrey)
Ink: Wasabi Green, Taken with Teal and VersMark
Accessories: Wasabi Green stitched ribbon, Winter Wonderland EP from Stamp-n-Stuff, Sakura Gelly Roll pens – Sky Star & Clear Star small pearl…. my usual stash.
