St. Patrick’s Day Coaster Box
Today’s green project was inspired by the cute little sample candy boxes from See’s Candy, like the box below from Christmas. I thought chipboard coasters would make the perfect top and bottom to make my own candy box!
This Christmas See’s candy box is a bit bigger than the 4″ square coasters I had, so I had to size down the side panels to fit properly.
I have been having a lot of fun using the shaving cream technique and used it again for this project and did it to both sides the coasters – top and bottom. I really like how this technique can produce quite a bit of pattern paper from one application. I was able to create 3 additional 4″x5″ pieces of marbled paper after coating both sides of the coasters. I guess it all depends how much ink is used when adding it to the shaving cream.
Please let me know if who would be interested in seeing a video demo of this quick and fun St. Patty’s project?
