Bucket full of Sunflowers from the Kitchen Sink

Happy KSS Monday, with a Sunflower Bucket List Note Pad

Today’s project was inspired by a friend.  Before celebrating her 50th birthday she made her first jump skydiving (and with her mom too!!!).  I recall her comment after the jump … “that was one for the bucket list!”

This tall narrow notepad is an official KSS “Bucket List” created with Multi-Step Giant Sunflowers Clear Stamps, Big & Bold Swashes Clear Stamps, Playful Alphabet Buddy Clear Stamps and 1/2 Pint Playful Alphabet Buddy Clear Stamps. 😉

Instead of using daisies (sorry, dark humor), I decided to stamp some cheery and sunny sunflowers. 🙂   The masking for the letters, flowers, and leaves were done using the “clear embossing masking technique” (more info about this technique can be found HERE ).  First I stamped the word “bucket”, then the flowers and leaves followed by the drop shadow for “bucket”.  Next time I think I will apply clear imboss directly to the white cardstock (for white letters), then add the drop shadow … followed by filling in the background behind the letters with leaves making the word “bucket” pop more.

When posting my Giant Red Sunflower Tag Card, I realized the original had slipped through the “blogging cracks” and I never shared it … so here it is. 🙂
