Light a Little Love, baby!

This little 2.25″ tall, votive candle was a quick project that was so fun to make!

Just in case you have never stamped on candles before, I first learned “how to” HERE with this tutorial from Jenni Mouer, written for SCS.

For this candle, I cut a strip of tracing paper smaller than the candle (1.5″ tall x 6″ wide). Then stamped the word “Love” from the set “Words of Love” all over in 3 different shades of pinks. After adhering the stamped tissue paper to the candle (as in the tutorial), I then added a few rhinestone gem stickers to finishing this little hunk of burning love! LOL!love-candle

Materials – Stamps: Words of Love from Kitchen Sink Stamps. Paper: tracing paper. Ink: Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose from SU! Embellishments: Pink Topaz gem stickers from Martha Stewart Crafts.Other: one 2.25″ tall, glass votive with candle both from Target. Wax paper.

  1. This is so cute! The rhinestones are a great embellishment. This would make a great little gift!

I’ve done this technique before on a larger candle and wanted to try it on votives for Xmas gifts but I couldn’t find any smooth ones (they were all ridged) but now you got me on the hunt againl. If I start now, maybe I’ll be able to find some in time for the next holiday, lol.
