There is a new Project in the Sink for the month of February! This fun project comes from crew design member, Julie Masse. Julie has made these adorable wine glass charms using shrink plastic and the stamp set, Love & Luck.
Thank you Julie! I look forward to making a set all for my own!

Opalite Ink, new to the Kitchen Sink.
Ok…you may know by now that, I AM an ink-addict!
Yup…can never have enough colors or kinds of ink!
Well, I have had my eye on Opalite Pigment Ink from Tsukineko.
Tsukineko calls this ink, “The Reflective Interference Ink”.
ok????? …. sooooo?????
What does that look like? (that’s what I asked!) Well,I had to see for myself.
This unique ink takes on the color of the paper, with a tint of color, getting more vibrant with the darker the paper.
Here are a few samples that I tested out to share with you.
Because of the shimmery, sparkly look this ink…it is not the easiest to photograph. But, I hope you can see that it does become more vibrant as the paper gets darker, yet you can see the stripes showing through.
My opinion… this ink is similar to a watermark ink only with the added metallic/sparkly tint of color! As if you are stamping with “Opals”.
Here is a Valentine’s Day card I did using Opalite ink.
Nordic Ice was stamped on Not Quite Navy paper and Cypress Frost was stamped on Old Olive paper.
I look forward to seeing what else I can do with this ink!!!

Yes, it is true! Three new stamp sets are coming from Kitchen Sink. You can see all three on January 16th. But, until then, I will give you a sneak peak.
I had fun with Sarah’s challenge from last Monday where you were to let the colors of a ribbon you already have…be your inspiration for your card. Thanks Sarah, it was fun!
So following her challenge and her sketch … this is what I came up with (which is also your sneak peak)…2 for 1!
