All Star weekend in Georgia!

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday… and happy is an understatement!

This weekend was KSS’ first workshop, which was held in Warner Robins, GA. My dear friend Traci (who joined me to add a helping hand) and I, had the time of our lives!!!! It was a thrill & joy getting to meet and work with KSS Crew Members: Dee (who made all the arrangements), Lisa & Lynn (who both traveled many miles to help and share their projects at the workshop) …. along with the pleasure of getting to know and spend a full day stamping with an amazing and charming group of ladies who came to learn all they could about multi step stamping! Thank you ALL for an incredible weekend ladies! And a Heartfelt thanks to Dee, Lisa, Lynn & Traci… this event couldn’t have happened without you all!:)

I promise to share photos and more details from the workshop as soon as I get home (I am probably still flying home by the time this post is published) and can download my photos (yup, left my camera usb cable at home! I knew I had forgotten something at home!).

While I was gone enjoying Georgia’s sweet southern hospitality … my 3 men (DH & 2 DS) were home having a great time too, which included an awesome Dodger game! Since it was also a Father & Sons weekend at my house, here is a belated post of a Father’s Day card that had slipped by me and I never got to share.

Hit the Kitchen 4 the 7th inning stretch

Well, today I needed a quick birthday gift card holder! I then remembered a cool gift card holder that Nicole, the Stampin’ Librarian, shared on her blog that she saw from Jill Hillard’s blog. Here is Nicole’s and here is Jill’s , the one that started the chain! :D It is cute, quick and easy… which is exactly what I was looking for … you see, this birthday gift card is already belated! Only there was one change in the line up …. I needed this gift card to be for a guy!

So… out of the bull pen, I call upon my 3 Step Baseball set for a home run! I love how this little gift card turned out, especially the linen thread wrapped around the edge (I did a slight modification to the original) to give that stitched glove look (an embellishment that a 16 year old dude would not gag over) … and it was quick and easy … LOVE THAT!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT! You are an All Star!!!!! :D

3 more Cards for peek #5… Baseball Stamps

Yes! Everyone guessed it … this set had to do with baseball! :D

I would like to share 3 cards I made with this set: 3 Step Baseball.

The first card was inspired by last week’s Splitcoaststampers’s Inkling tutorial by Claudia Rosa. This was a real fun card to make! You can her the tutorial here. I made this card for a dear friend who’s father is turning 80 and LOVES sports… so, I thought he might like this one. I left the large tag blank so my friend could add a photo of her family…or her dad…. I hope he has a wonderful 80th bithday! :D

Paper: double-sided striped/argyle paper Grandpa’s Attic- Tailored Trousers from s.e.i. , Basic White from Papertrey, Kraft from SU! and double-sided mulberry paper Burgundy/Purple from the Paper Company.

This card was inspired from Beate’s Weekend Sketch #47. You can find her fun sketch here. I thought this sketch would make the perfect “Thank You” card for my son’s coach! They are 9 and 1! Yeah! :D Let the playoffs begin! … ok, I’ll get back to the card. LOL!
