… Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!
Had so much stamping fun…
… this past week with all the challenges, tips and inspirational spotlights! I haven’t stamped this much in a LONG time and the best part, I have my family covered for Valentine’s Day EARLY!!! It sure is nice to stamp along with the KSCrew and KSForum Members. It is that extra support (or inky creative nudge) we all can use from time to time.
Here are few cards from last week’s challenges.
The first card is for Angela’s challenge: 3 is a Magic Number (EP01) and Lisa’s color challenge for Valentine’s Day (KSOCValentine).
It is hard to see in the photo, but I added Distress Stickles (Rock Candy) with my finger to little coat the hearts in both cards. The effect looks like “sugared” hearts.
The second card is for Makiko’s challenge: All about Ribbons (KPC01). This challenge has fun for this card… a great way to use up trimmed ends of ribbon that I just could not thought away!
Please remember to check what the rest of the KS Crew has cooked up for you this KSS Monday.

Today’s card is for Lynn’s 10 Min. Challenge #2 (10MC2), using a reverse mask to create the focal point.
Yes, I will admit, I did know a head of time what Lynn’s challenge was going to be and was excited to try this technique … BUT, I forced it out of my mind and purposely did not stamp anything for this KSS morning. I wanted to put myself to the test. I did not use a timer for this stamping “dash”. I used the human clock of my DH walking the kids to school. LOL! We live about two blocks away from our neighborhood school. SO, out the door they all went, and into the stamp room I raced… GO!
I will admit that my DH was just opening the door returning from school, as I put the finishing touches on the champagne with Star Dust Stickles…so, this card may have taken maybe 12 to 15 mins… so easy to lose track of time when stamping (isn’t it?). Next time I will have to use a timer!
What took the longest? Which shape for my focal point.
This card was created using one of the 3 new stamp sets released on Jan 1st, called Multi Step Champagne Celebration.
Please remember to check what the rest of the KS Crew has cooked up for you this KSS Monday.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
… and Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!
I hope your New Year is off to a great start!
I must say, New Year’s Eve …
was so much fun with all the excitement with the launch of our new forum, new open gallery… and a new stamp release with 3 new titles just in time for the celebration! I had such a blast with all the challenges… that was 19 challenges in 12 hours! Whew! I sure hope I didn’t wear anyone out?

I have two cards to share with you today. Both were created from the same stamp set, Multi Step Sweet Heart Roses, a new mini for this January.
The first card is a 4- 3/4″ sq card for Valentine’s with the sentiment, “XOXO Sweet Heart”, stamped as a light background. The metallic embellishments are Tear Drops called Love Birds from Robin’s Nest and can be found in the KSS store.

The second card is for a new weekly challenge added to our forum: 10 min card challenge.
I gave this challenge to the KSCrew and then forgot all about it with all the New Year’s Eve excitement! (Being a Gemini, I am putting all the blame on my evil twin!) Thank goodness it was a 10 min. challenge! LOL Goodness knows how often I need to make a card at the last min. as I am walking out the door and this small 2- 3/4″ sq little gift or note card always does the job. This little card is for St. Patty’s Day with the sentiment, “XOXO”, placed on the block in a curved shape to stamp as the clover’s stem. In all fairness, I know the KSCrew used all 10 mins. on their cards, I think I used 5.
Hope you will play along our 10 min. Challenge. If you do, please be sure to upload your card to the new Kitchen Sink Gallery. Add KSCC31 in the keywords so we can all the 10 minute creations together!!!
Some other super fun news to announce … we have a Guest stamper joining us for the month of January!
You may recognize her from her Blog: Magic Delights or from playing many challenges online. She is a regular KSCrew Challenge player and we are thrilled to have her join us in the Kitchen this month!
Welcome Barbara!
Please remember to check what the rest of the KS Crew has cooked up for you this KSS Monday.
