On the 3rd Day of Christmas …

… my True Love gave to me,

Three French Hens.

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday! I hope everyone’s Christmas was Merry and Bright…. and this is just the beginning of the twelve days of Christmas. Which I am thankful for, because I wasn’t completely ready for Christmas this year as I would have like.  This year my Christmas cards to send out have turn into New Years’ cards … but better late than never. And as a dear friend says …. “All in a day”. ;)

You might wonder what am I leading up too? I want to share about a really great challenge going on from The Daily Dare. Deb and Bev had this fabulous idea to get a jump on next year’s Christmas Cards by Celebrating the Twelve Days of Christmas with a new Christmas card Challenge & a New Gift to give each day.

What does this have to do with me? Besides that this challenge is perfect for me to get a jump on my Holiday Cards for next year, as well as a jump on one of my New Year’s resolutions, (to make one Christmas Card a week)…. I am today’s Hostess for the Third Day of Christmas! Yahoo! :)

The gift of Three French Hens, represent The Three Theological Virtues:

1) Faith, 2) Hope, and 3) Love (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Here is my Challenge: Create a Christmas card that includes the word/s Faith, Hope and/or Love as the sentiment or incorporated in the sentiment.

The majority of the sentiment came together from two sets, Words of Comfort & Joy and 3 Step Poinsettia. Faith, Hope and Love came from the set, Vintage Words . I must add, I don’t know how the word “Faith” has escaped from being in a KSS’ stamp set! You can bet that sentiment has moved to the top of my “To Do” list! But, where there is a will, there is a way and I was able to stamp the word “Faith” by masking out letters from other words in the set. I used: FA from family, the I from live and TH from thoughts.

As for the gift for the winner to today’s challenge, head on over to The Daily Dare to find out more. To play along, upload your card to the Splitcoast Gallery with the keyword: DD12days03.

The deadline for all submissions is midnight on Sunday, January 9th.  Winners will be chosen announced over at The Daily Dare on Monday, January 10.

Melts the Heart Valentine

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!

Look what has blown its way into the Kitchen? A Snowman, who I think is clearly irresistible!  (sorry, could not help myself). Yes, a snowman, minus the snow… so let’s call him an Invisible Snowman.

Besides this new set, you’ll find a few New Items that have been added to the KSS store for a limited time.

This Valentine card (HA!… like I have even come close to finishing my Holiday cards!!!) is for my hubby. The card doesn’t have much in the way of embellishments. Just a little glitter … and a big puddle of Glossy Accents for melted snow. I think it will warm his heart and make him laugh! ;)

You can download the Color Recipe to this new set: HERE
