A kind of party hat.

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday… hope y’all had a wonderful weekend!

Couldn’t help myself… thought the new cowboy hat could make a mighty fine Red Hat! ;)

It’s been quiet in the Kitchen (HA!) … because I have been working on something BIG that I’ve keep under my hat and can’t wait until I can share it with y’all!   I am hoping very soon I can tip my hat and share it! :)

I’ve been Texs-ified!

YEE HAW!!!!

I just have to say… I LOVE TEXAS!!!!!
Monday I flew home (is it really THURSDAY already??? It CAN’T BE!!!), from a WONDERFUL weekend in Houston, Texas… hosting a 2 day Kitchen Sink Stamps workshop.

The cozy event was held at the LaQuinta Inn in Pearland (just south of Houston). Accompanying me on this stamping adventure, was my dear friend Traci (never leave home with out her!) and her daughter (my God Daughter), Kelly. What a blessing to travel and work with loved one’s who know you so well, they can finish my sentences for me! ;)

It was great meeting up again with fellow KSCrew members, Lynn and Connie as well as finally getting to meet Makiko for the first time. These talented ladies are just like the beautiful cards they create week after week… more wonderful in real life!!!! A big thank you to Lynn for all the pre-workshop scouting! I owe all the workshop’s success to these five talented and giving ladies! I couldn’t have done it with out you!

(photo above: Top- Lynn, Kelly, Traci and Makiko. Bottom- Connie and me)

This was KSS’s second workshop. Yes, I am a newbie when it come to this kind of thing, but I am loving it! Even though there were some (cough-cough) technical glitches … I had a fabulous time, as I believe so did the attendees. :)

It was an absolute pleasure meeting everyone who attended the workshop! It was a thrill for me to meet and get to know each lady! I was so excited to see Anita and Andrea again, who I met at our 1st workshop in Georgia. Yee-Haw Anita, TX does have mighty good fried pickles!!! What fun to meet Lydia from SCS and Dana, whose sunny smiles are contagious & kept me giggling with their “SQUEEEE” and “TWEETS” throughout the workshop! ;) And after all this time, to finally meet Billie Dee, Shelley, Susan and Linda, as well as being introduced to Donna, Esther, Lynn, Teddie, Andie and her mom, Penny. What an awesome group of ladies and stampers!!!! Y’all are now masking masters!!!

Besides the fun projects & cards that Lynn, Connie and Makiko designed & prepared for everyone, here is a sample (and a SNEAK PEEK to Monday’s New Stamp release) of the masking techniques the attendees mastered ….. they ROCKED it! … or maybe I can say…they “hooked em!” Yee-Haw! ;)

Thank you Ladies for a wonderful time and the warm Texas Welcome! I would LOVE to come back again! Giant Inky Hugs!!!!

oooooooo went the wind …

… and out went the light.

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday and its time for a new KS Crew Challenge!

This month’s KSCC Hostess is Makiko. She is getting us all in the spirit for some trick -o-treating with her Halloween challenge.

You can find all the details HERE.

I started off creating an ATC card (which I haven’t done in a long time … just love them!), but when I stumbled across these spider brads in my  “stash” that were screaming to be used, I just had to turn my ATC into a card. :) Thanks Makiko for the fun and timely challenge!

See what spooktacular cards and projects the KS Crew has created to inspire you today!
