Last limited supply card from the woods

ADDED NOTE (8/16): Sorry for the delay. I had my post all scheduled to post this morning while traveling home… so I thought! :(    I guess this is what 2 weeks in the woods can do… totally lose track of the days!

Happy Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday … and the final installment of stamping with”Limited Supplies” from Minn. North Woods.

We really had a memorable time traveling and visiting with family, old friends and old stomping grounds… while exploring new ones. I sure would LOVE to do a stamping retreat here next summer!!!! Anyone game to join me???

Spending time on the lake fishing and taking walks in the woods sure has inspired me for new stamp sets… which should cover a number of “requests” on that LONG list of future stamps. ;)

But, it is now time to head back home and get those ideas in motion, as well as iron out the details to October’s workshop in Houston, TX… and the mountains of laundry that will need to be done!

NOTE: All orders placed between July 29th – Aug. 15th, will ship out on Aug. 16th & 17th… thank you so much for you patience.

Please check out what the rest of the KS Crew has cooked up for you this Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday.

Another installment…”Limited Supply” in the woods!

Happy Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday …

… with another installment of stamping with”Limited Supplies” from Minn. North Woods.

It is our final week up in the great woods of Northern Minnesota. The boys (big & little) are having a great time… we all are! Yes, I am still stamping! :) This card was inspired by the baby ducklings that are so happy following their Mother out and about on the lake.

I helped the shedding process with one of the many Birch trees surrounding the lake, by adding a thin piece of Birch bark to my card. The little remanent of brown gingham was thrown in with my inks before leaving. So far so good… my card was coming together nicely. Then I hit a GIANT road block! I did not pack any adhesive!!! I was one step from googling how to mix my own glue – LOL, when I remembered that my oldest son had brought along with him Quake Tack (I’ll save why he packed it for another time). So, I’m thinking… “what the heck”, it was worth a try …. and IT WORKED!!!! YaHoo! Now to see how Quake Tack holds up after mailing! ;)

Please check out what the rest of the KS Crew has cooked up for you this Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday.

Multi Step stamping on vacation

Happy Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday!

We made it!

My family and I, have made our long trek from Southern California to the Land of 10,000 Lakes and are enjoying our family vacation in the north woods of Minn.  [1st photo: of the lake from our cabin, right after a good, long rain. 2nd photo: some  of the cabins along the shore. All I can say is... Heaven on earth! ]

I was planning on having my Monday KSS posts all scheduled for you … but then I thought, “What fun is that? Not sharing photos until after we get back home!” So, I threw in the bare (not bear! LOL) minimum of supplies into my suitcase, along with the challenge of….”Multi Step Stamping on the Road”. :)

I limited myself to bringing 2 small and 2 mini stamp sets (2 sentiment sets: Vintage Sentiments & Simple Sentiments and 2 Multi Step Stamps: Multi Step Shamrocks & Clover and Multi Step Ducks and Pigs … which should cover me for two weeks). These two sizes easily  slipped into a sandwich zip lock bag. I pre-cut a handful of card stock with the intentions of creating single layer cards only (GASP!). I packed two small acrylic blocks (1″x1″ & 2″x2″) and only a handful of Memento dew drop inks. Yes, picking which colors to pack was the hardest part for me to decide. LOL! So, after I picked 2 greens, a yellow & a pink ( seemed like a must for Shamrocks, Ducks and Pigs), I shut my eyes and grabbed a handful more of ink. That was another challenge for myself… work with whatever colors I grab! LOL!

Please check out what the rest of the KS Crew has cooked up for you this Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday.
