Where did February go?!!!
It sure has been a wild winter of storms and snow for so many, and the speed of January and February racing by with Spring just around the corner, I am sure is greatly appreciated (especially those who live in really cold climates)! I live in a much milder climate … but I too am very happy to see that Spring is on its way and am ready to say goodbye to the Winter Blues!
On March 2nd, you can expect to see 4 new stamp sets from Kitchen Sink Stamps that is bound to “spring” you into mood for change with the seasons! And with new stamps coming, that can only mean one thing… Sneak Peeks!

A quick trip and another CAS card
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
I was thrilled to spend this weekend with my dear friend Traci on a short adventure trip to the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo that was being held in Tucson, AZ this past Saturday…. and the best part about our adventure, we got to spend the day (the whole day) with KS Crew Member… Connie, who’s home town is Tucson! We had a ball spending the day with Connie… meeting her lovely family, fellow stamping friend, Sabrina, and seeing Tucson, which is surround by mountains …and of course, a few stops at Cracker Barrel…. (love their pancakes!) Thank you Connie for being a fabulous tour guide!
The crazy thing about this quick adventure… how is it possible to spend the entire day with some one and not take one single photo??!!! Not a single one! Just having too good of a time to stop and think about it, I guess!

A New KS Crew Challenge is in the kitchen
It is a new month … which means a new KS Crew Challenge – #22, with our hostess, Makiko!
This month, Makiko challenges us to use our Kitchen Sink Stamps to create our own custom designer paper. I must admit, I think one of my favorite things to do when stamping, is to make my own designer paper! The sky is the limit! So for this challenge, I wanted to try and simulate a soft, elegant and monochromatic designer paper from K&Company (sample below)…. and see if I could create something 
close to it, but Kitchen Sink Stamps style. I am happy how it turned out. I added a clear embossing powder over the large butter fly to make it pop a bit form the background of flowers and leaves. As for the hardware, I had silver which wasn’t really working so, I took a marcasite embossing powder and changed it.
All the images (excepted mentioned below) are stamped using: Step #3 – Imperial Purple – VersaFine, Step #2 – Sweet Plum – Memento, Step #1 – Lulu Lavender.
For the Lilies: Step #5 – Imperial Purple – VersaFine, Step #4 – Sweet Plum – Memento, Step #3 – Sweet Plum stamp off – Memento, Step #2 – Lulu Lavender - Memento, Step #1 – Angel Pink.
Smaller Butterflies: Step #3 – Imperial Purple – VersaFine, Step #2 – Sweet Plum – Memento, Step #1 – Sky Blue.
