A fun and quick technique to try.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
Today I have a quick technique I would like to share with you…
I call it “Double Dry Emboss”.
I got the inspiration for this technique from seeing so many beautiful cards where the card stock was dry embossed and then the raised areas of the emboss were inked with a contrasting color.
So, I thought what about doing it twice? That’s right…emboss, ink, then emboss again and ink again. Sound like fun? It is!
Photos of each step at the bottom of this post.

Step #2: Sweep ink across the raised area of the embossed card stock.
Step #4: Turning the card stock 90°, place in embossing folder.
Step #5: Second pressing finished with embossing folder.
Step #6: Ink again as before with Step #2, across the new embossed raised area.
There you have… the Double Emboss. Give it a try & tell me what you think. ![]()

How quick, is too quick???
No question about it… QUICK is what I need with only 4 days left until Christmas and barely a dent in my gift wrapping!
With no time to spare, I reach for my “go to” set… 3 Step Holly & Mistletoe and I created this 3.25″x 4.75″ simple gift card holder in 15 mins! I’m not sure what 15 mins. means for many of you … but 15 mins. is a world record for me!!!!
Yes, I used papers that were already sitting on my craft table from last week’s card. That alone cut off about 1.5 hours of time not having to decide what colors of paper I wanted to work with! LOL!
This gift card is for a young man… and even though he would be just as happy to receive the enclosed iTunes gift card in a brown paper bag… (nope, I couldn’t do that!), the presentation of this gift card would have to be clean and simple
So, with no bling and sneaking in only a strip of ribbon… not thinking about embellishments must have saved another 2 hours or so! LOL!
Well, this is as quick as I have ever come… I think he’ll like it!
