7 days of Sneak Peeks Give Away: Day Three
Thank you all for sharing your wonderful summer activities and childhood summer memories! I sure am enoying reading every single one! ….. And as I am reading about all these relaxing and cherished activities and heartfelt childhood memories from the summers long ago …. I thought it only fair that I share mine too.:D
Our favorite summer activity to do as a family, is to spend the day at the beach building sand castles and boogie boarding the Pacific waves. We don’t leave for home until we are all covered from head to toe in sand and dried salt water!
As for my childhood summers… my parents were both teachers, which meant the whole summer off. We would pile our family and “things” into the car and drive from Calif. to Minn. (every summer taking a slightly different route), until we came to Lake Vermilion, which is in the northern part of the state. The next two months I would live in my bathing suite! I would go from pj’s to bathing suit, back to pj’s! It didn’t matter if it was raining (yes, I did get out if there was lighting ) and when I could talk my mom into it, I would still be in the water after the sun had gone down….. sheer heaven!!!!
